The Brief
This organisation is a global leader in skin care with its UK office based in central London. The office required a refresh to bring it in line with the global brand strategy.
The meeting rooms and breakout area were a key focus as both needed to be modernised.
A plan was agreed and staff were accommodated temporarily in other offices within the building whilst the works were carried out.
To make sure the design was right, we produced several 3D renders before any furniture was ordered which portrayed the area and were approved by the team.
The Solution
Flooring, decoration, new manifestations and some minor partition and electrical work were required.
As part of the works, all height adjustable desks were fitted with new white desktops to create a brighter atmosphere.
In the breakout space, the black ceiling was painted white and oak acoustic cladding was added to the walls. A new dining table with a durable laminate top was introduced and has been well received, along with new chairs. The alcove area was updated with soft seating and a coffee table to create a more inviting corner.
The meeting rooms were fitted with oak acoustic panels that also housed new plasma screens on one wall. Each room was given a new meeting table, chairs, and a matching credenza. Veneer was used in the main meeting room, while laminate was chosen for the others. Drywipe boards were also installed to complement the overall look.
A one-to-one room was created with soft seating, a coffee table, and soft lighting to provide a more intimate space. This was placed next to a single cell office designed for quiet working or calls.
The Outcome
The result is a brighter, lighter office space that has noticeably improved the overall atmosphere throughout the building. The refreshed environment has had a positive impact on staff morale and energy levels.
Meeting rooms are now in constant use, supporting more efficient collaboration and communication.
The breakout space has become a central hub, not only for meals and coffee breaks but also for informal meetings and team catch-ups.
This multifunctional use has encouraged greater interaction, flexibility, and a stronger sense of community among staff.
